We're doing a refi via Arvest. What I like about Arvest is that they didn't invest heavily in the subprime market and thus didn't take the hits that others did.

What's your experience, if any, w/their mortgage dept?

thanx

Do they upstream the mortgage? I was upstreamed to Cenlar and it may as well be a company out of Nigeria.

Almost all mortgage companies sell the loan off to a servicing company. Very few banks/mortgage companies have the funds/collateral/cash to be able to hold the note themselves.

My wife works for one of the largest private mortgage companies, her company is based out of Moore and she works at the First American Bank on the West side of Norman. If you have any questions let me know and I can have her give me an answer/suggestion.

Two thumbs up for Arvest; had our initial loan with them - no sell off in nearly five years, and refinanced with them last spring. Quick, easy, painless. I'm satisfied with them. Plus I bank there, and it's nice to just drop my payment off in the drive-thru.
