Would be my Ruger Gunsite Scout. Powerful 308 but I have subsonic to use the suppressor on it quietly too. The scout scope has quick target acquisition. However you can yank it off and you have really nice “peep” iron sights.

I asked this question of Jacob Bynum (Rifles Only) and Frank Galli (Snipers Hide) and both of them said AR-10 .308 with a 3-18 power scope.

Right now, my personal choices are suppressed Gunsight Scout with a 3-18x56 Vortex Strike Eagle all though I’m looking at switching scopes (possibly a Zeiss 4-25x50).
