So this barber loses his wallet, and it has $1000 in it. He thinks it's gone for good when this kid finds it. Said kid is 17.
And what would be the right thing to do here? Keep it? Turn it in? Go party with a dozen strippers?
But no, this kid didn't do the right thing here. Who would expect him to? Certainly not the guy who lost his wallet. Little did the kid know that the barber would find out just who found his wallet.
Happy ending for everyone, the kid did more than the right thing.
When Harold Hall, owner of Hall’s Barber Shop in Molalla, returned home after a trip to Safeway, his wife informed him the store had called. Someone found his money sack sitting in a shopping cart in the parking lot.

He drove back to the store, certain the $1,000 in cash and his checkbook would be missing when he reclaimed the bag.

What a great kid!

The kid was great. A wonderful example to all but the barber was the jerk here. Offered a $20 gift certificate from McDonalds as reward! Maybe it is just me but how cheap can you be?
