Last Time You Fired A Shot

First time I ever hunted around a corn feeder I was hunting a buddy's lease in Texas several years back.

I probably shouldn't tell this on myself but I was in a ground box blind about 65 yds. from the feeder, it was just barely light and absolutely graveyard quite and with me never being around one when feeders go off the noise scared the living crap out of me

Anyway, the feeder ran for 'X' period and within two minutes of it shutting off two of the biggest and fattest coons I've ever seen came waddling out of the mesquite and cactus and fed on the corn hot & heavy till a couple of does came in and they left.

I've trapped 8 coons off that feeder this season. There is a never ending supply of them since furs aren't worth running a trapline anymore. Oklahoma Wildlife Department has legalized year around trapping on raccoons because they are becoming so prolific.

Yesterday afternoon ... running shot at a coyote with the .17HMR at about 200 yards. I missed. No time for a follow-up shot.

My preacher, his wife, daughter, son in law and grandaughter all came to my house yesterday and had a blast. The preacher carries a Taurus G2 in the pulpit and a gen3 Glock 22 in the car. His wife shoots a Smith and Wesson model 642, his daughter totes a Sig 365, his son in law carries a Sig 320 compact in FDE and his 9 year old grandaughter absolutely loves her Ruger SR22 with the Muddy Girl camo frame. We all had a great time.

Everyone needs a hobby!

I hit them with a load of Federal 9 pellet 00 LE flight controlled from about 14ft, it blew out the first 3 and lost most of it`s energy by #4 so only 2 pellets stopped # 5, I`m guessing around 30" of water and plastic...

I`m about 28ft firing a load of #3 buckshot from my little cutdown (18.5") Stevens 20ga...

I was getting about an 11" spread at 28ft with all 20 pellets hitting paper...

Federal 1 oz slug on impact.

I fired a 1oz Federal slug from 14ft into a small block of ice backed by two gallons of water, the slug stopped in the 2nd gallon...

Just left Big Boys. Sighted on a Holosun 507c on my Glock 34 MOS. Quite the difference shooting a few thru it and then some thru my Sig P365.
