"Threat of riots"... in Edmond.I would still choose the 30-30 over the AR, and once you get out in the country everyone but the young whipper snappers has a 30-30. Honestly if it were not for the threat of riots and crap I would not own a semi-auto rifle. Heck I am still tempted to trade my Mini 14 and mags, etc for a lever action 308 at times. Only reason I do not is that I expect the Democrats to try a real power grab sooner or later.

Gonna need the mini-14 to defend the stockpile of canned sausage from the dangerous horde of soccer moms.
The canned sausage is long gone, but I do have a few canned hams and some spam. Also Edmond has a lot more possible rioters than you would think."Threat of riots"... in Edmond.

Neither. Grab one of the almost a dozen other spare AR's and go to work.SHTF - you have to grab a rifle and try to help your neighbors stop a band of rioters that just entered your neighborhood.
Your AR is disabled at the moment and you only have two choices - an AK or a Mini-14. Which one do you choose, and why?
