We have several pairs in our neighborhood every year. We had a nest in a gum tree we used to have in the front yard. One of the hatch, actually a rather large bird, fell out of the nest and just stayed in the shade of the tree! I went out to check on him and the silly thing walked up to me, and was using me for shade! I've got pictures somewhere. This was three or four years ago and we finally called a rescue group and got him taken care of. I love watching them. Watched two different pairs circling, one north of me and one to the south, when I did yard work Thursday.
