Optic for .308 in AR platfrom

I really like the AR rifle scope from Leupold. Sent off for the 308 turrets and put them on, Leupold sent them to me for free. This set up works well for close to mid range shots. Clear glass with Leupold reliability, you can beat it.

I would highly recommend an ACOG -- either the TA-11, if you want a 3.5x, or the TA-55A, if you want a 5.5x that is a little larger and heavier. The glass is outstanding, and the reticles are ideal for a battle rifle, IMO. I personally do not see the point of mil reticles, FFP, or target turrets on a low-power scope that is meant for getting quick hits at moderate distances.

Since the ACOG is fixed power, you might also consider an offset micro red dot for close range shooting.

I wish Trijicon would make their TR24 1-4x24 with the ACOG reticles. That would be the perfect battle rifle optic.
