Price of a cup of coffee?

I don’t buy much coffee away from home so I don’t know if this is realistic.

What about it? Seem about right?

My wife and I used to treat ourselves with Starbucks a couple or three times a year, and it was more than what’s shown. However, I haven’t had anything but home brew in years, so I have no idea what it might be now.

I am guessing they’re talking about sit down with a meal cup of coffee and not the fancy premium hipster coffee. I remember a friend spending like $4-5 a cup prior to Covid price hike for that stuff. I’m guessing that stuff is $10 a cup now.

I quit going and getting a cup of coffee when it was no longer 50 cents a cup with unlimited refills. I just make it at home before i go out.

I don’t disagree, but by that measuring stick, your choices of places to shop and eat are pretty limited.

Strange I would pay a lot more in ND, SD & Mn than I would in HI, Ca or Az. Particularly in the winter!

Dating myself but probably the last time I had a cup away from home it was .25 with pretty much unlimited refills at the local cafe in town. A lot of the local temp jobs were there, like construction or farm work. So it was always full of people. Most ate there while they took up a seat and then shot the bull for a bit.

I can’t get excited about these designer coffees. I’m just a black coffee kind of guy.
