My buddy's (philipxhuff) super old coyote I called in for him. Check out these wore down teeth! It was missing all but two lower incisors. We guessed it to be around 7 years old...

Dennis, it would work, but there are a few problems doing it that way. The dirt/dirty water can mineral stain the bone which is nearly impossible and in some cases, is impossible to completely remove. Also, you would stand a high chance of losing some teeth.
