Whatever, I am sorry some scum bag stole the pistol and I hope that he gets caught; you get your gun back, and everything is restored as should be.

For some reason I am reminded of this little guy

I take full responsibility for my lapse in awareness and not locking the door when I thought I did. It is unfortunate and it doesn't happen with me. Can't remember the last time I've ever locked my keys in the car, left it unlocked, left the lights on, ect. Just one of those days and I'm still kicking myself because I always double check things and am usually aware of whats going on. Everybody has a bad day and today was mine.

Perhaps, I should have just kept the firearm with me concealed to the theatre. I removed it on the off chance that we were going to a bar or someplace else where CCW was prohibited.

Hard lesson, but it goes to show that even the ones who are the most careful can sometimes lapse and falter.

Anyways, will probably have a Beretta 92fs Centurion for sale or trade for a Gen 3 Glock here soon.

:grumble:

The officers who responded were nice and good fellows. One of the officers told me that he had a firearm stolen from him recently that hasn't been found yet, as well. Another buddy of his had a firearm stolen 10 years ago that just recently came up. Crazy.

Hi,

I agree, please post the S/N so anyone who comes across it can report it. I think there is a website for this too where you can post the info.

I too learned a hard lesson like this about 20 years ago when I was 18. I was using a pistol looking case to hold various stuff, a nice 35mm camera, $40 in cash, various other little trinkets. For some reason I didn't even think about how inviting this would look to a thief and left it in open view of a friends car the day I went to an amusement park. Needless to say when I returned for the day, it was gone. I learned that day to leave NOTHING of value in a car, visible or not. To this day I feel "edgy" if I have more than about $50 of anything left in my car...

Good luck, I sure hope you get it back.

Alan

This helps me to remember to lock my Blazer- A L A RM. Clifford Matrix. I never use my keys to get in,lock up,start up,etc. The fob is on my keyring and its hard to forget to set the alarm,no matter where I am. And if youre gonna get one,get a backup battery. Best feature is if someone is messing with my truck the fob starts beeping and I know to get out to the truck. Not just a basketball hitting it,someone is in the truck.
