OP- Is there a remote chance that it's kicking around somewhere under the seat? I'm sure you've probably searched under every nook, cranny and mummified frenchfry, but if you haven't......

I wish that were the case. I've turned that vehicle inside out searching for it.

The only thing I have to hope for is that the thief tries to pawn it next week, which should come up stolen if the pawn shop dealer does a check on the serial number. Otherwise, it will probably be years before it ever comes up (if ever) and only if the firearm was confiscated by LEO or used in a crime.

I've pretty much kissed it good bye.

So what you are saying is a rape victim should not have put themselves in that position. When are the criminals held accountable.

Apples to oranges man; apples to oranges...sorry to hear the guy got his pistol stolen, but making sure it's secured is important. Stealing and rape are a tad different types of crime. Stealing is cowardly theft, done unbeknownst to the person being stolen from; rape is an act of violence.

Not trying to be a hard ass here, but if you own a gun, I think you should make every effort to ensure it doesn't fall in to the wrong hands. 'Nuff said by me; I can see some others on here do not agree...and that's their right. Kumbaya.

All to often the victims are chastized more than the criminal. As far as securing a weapon and making it safe I couldn't agree with you more. But what does it say about us when some one reaches out for help and we step on them?

You might check with the theater, I would assume they are like the ones in Tulsa, every inch of the parking lot is covered.

Not that it would help catch them, but you would at least know they didn't do it in front of your house while you were taking a leak..

And ease your mind that they won't return at a later time and see what else you have in the house when your not home..
