Man, I hate these threads, always puts a lump in my throat... I know the feeling, make your last ride a good one for him... It's hard to say goodbye to our furry friends. He looked like a good companion.

Thanks everybody. It isnt easy but it had to be done. Also, believe me, this guy had one hell of a breakfast. He ate better this morning than I ever get to.

so what is your plan? I ask because I seen an article somewhere on the net of a guy with his dog in a lake relaxing in the water. The calm nature scenery, and just you and the dog. Maybe you might take him to the Wichita wild life refuge down south and let him roam for the day.

I have not owned any dogs since I was in my teens. It is just too hard, I dealt with that once and can not do it again.

Sorry to hear that. Real hard to let one go like that. We have an old dog that keeps on ticking, he's 16 years old. Just when we think he's going he back to normal. Know it will happen one of these days but as long as he's in no pain and eats good and does his duty outside we'll have to wait for that day. Once again, sorry to hear about your loss of a good buddy.
