I was looking at today’s ‘Only in Oklahoma’ email and they listed a BBQ Roadtrip.

They listed two joints up that way and I wasn’t familiar with either.

Burn Co. is good to go. Try to get there early, sell out some items quickly.

Macs is solid and worth the drive, knotty has pretty much a burger joint, as they have slimmed the menu down a lot. Albert gs is hot garbage, unless you want good bourbon, then the downtown Tulsa location is ok. Lukes in Coweta is solid, leons,oakhart, ally cat ranch, killerwail (saturday only) and the one off the turnpike in wellston are all worth a visit. Burn co has a cult following of people that swear by it... so its a whole group of people who like greasy sides and sleep with hasty bake grills....

I went to Knotty Pine MANY years ago--1987?--I don't remember the food. They did have a good reputation then. Maybe that says something... As far as Burn Co., they are only in Jenks. The downtown location never opened back up after the fire.

The article didn't mention my favorite one though. Dink's in Bartlesville.

Burn Co is great. I never been to the other two places so I have no idea.

5. Mission BBQ; just opened, high ratings from my son who ate at their VA location.
6. Clark Crew BBQ; high inital opening reviews but too soon to tell.
7. Rib Crib; No effingham way.

Mac's is good but it's a ways from Tulsa.
