I'm really glad you're feeling better but, honestly, I think you should take JD up on his offer. Maybe you could ride along. Baby steps. Take care of yourself! And, thanks again, JD!

The Doc said I could drive after 5 days if I wasn't feeling dizzy,,,
Or having any shortness of breath.

So I figure Tuesday will be the day.

I haven't had any negative symptoms so far,,,
I've slept well and have woken refreshed.

But you are right,,,
I'll be thinking in terms of baby steps.

The doctor that sent you on your merry way needs to lose his license. There is no excuse for that kind of laziness ...
I have since learned the Specialist are the worst for follow up care after procedures, they try and see way to many patients to give a single patient the observation they need. They may be good at what they specialize in but after care you better go with what you feel and get second opinions.

But seriously, please see a Hemotologist and make sure your dose isnt to high on them thinners. After 3 trips to the ER for bleeding, my blood Dr. (I call him the vampire Dr lol) he cut my dosage in half and I've had no issues. Its scary as hell when you bleed that much in such a short time. It's life or death.

Man I keep thinking all the time some of that crap is going to get me- glad it turned out ok- prob need to just go ahead and go, but like you I hate dealing with em.
I have heard, one reason men die sooner than women is because we dont like Dr. offices lol. Some truth to it I am sure.

That's what got my brother, too stubborn to listen to little brother about his heart. He waited 2 years and finally had to go in because he was in heart failure and died on the operating table (from getting a pacemaker implanted). We just had the 10th anniversary of his death.

That's exactly what I'm going to do,,,
Even if I have to rope and tie my cardiac Doc to a chair.

I will not leave his office until he gives me a true evaluation of my condition.

I respect the man due to his education/experience,,,
But I will simply stand my ground for "personalized" care from him.

I'm just so glad that I have a life-line friend.

JD and I worked together at OSU for many years,,,
Despite our age difference of 28 years,,,
We became fast friends.

We go to the range every now and then,,,
And get together for an hour or so of pool most every Thursday evening.

I live alone about 18 miles out of Stillwater,,,
So when I retired JD said I could text him every morning,,,
If he hasn't received the text by 10:00 AM he goes into alert mode.

In the close to 4 years I've been retired I've only forgotten to text twice,,,
Both times he immediately called me to see if I was okay.

When I called him this past Wednesday there was no hesitation,,,
He immediately left work and was at my door in less than 30 minutes.

He didn't leave the hospital,,,
Until I was out of surgery and resting comfortably.

I am truly blessed to have a friend such as he is,,,
And he let's me be the "Crazy Uncle" to his three youngest kids.

He's the person I assembled a 10/22 kit for,,,
It was worth every penny I spent on it,,,
Click here to view the kit.
