I see these questions in gun forums all the time , someone just bought a .22 handgun and enevitably someone will say "yeah its nice but would you stake your life on it"?

The way I see it is if your life depends on it you would have to be insane to not use whatever tool you have available to you at the moment. If my life was threatened and all I had was a pellet rifle damn straight I'd stake my life on it. It sure beats the alternative.

For those who say they would not stake their lives on a 22. What exactly do you propose doing if that 22 is all you have at the moment? Beg for mercy? Hold your breath, close your eyes and pretend to be invisible? Call for a time out?
