Here is a video of the action in the House today. The "open carry bill" starts at about 1:06. It is VERY entertaining to watch. Martin did a FANTASTIC job responding to the CRAPPY ammendments that some attempted to attach to this bill. He did a great job today. If you have never experienced the legislative process, I highly recommend watching this.

I agree. I just sent Rep. Martin an email stating that I was not one of his constituents but that I would like an address where I can send money to support his efforts.

I just renewed my Concealed Weapon License for 10 years and my wife is waiting for her renewal. Is there any plans of how the license will work? Since mine says concealed are they going to issue a new license to everyone? I'd hate to have some rookie cop 5 years from now cuffing me because they don't think my concealed license means I can open carry too.
Shouldn't be a problem. I got a 40 year old lifetime hunting and fishing license and each time a game warden sees it he has to call in and ask about it cause he's never seen one like it.

Man I wish I could watch the video... won't be able to see it until at least Saturday. <sigh>

I am proud of our House as a whole. It's not Constitutional Carry, true... but it's a start. In recent days we have seen a trend in State legislatures moving back toward Constitutional Carry, and I have hope that Oklahoma will follow suit in a few years.

Hooray for March 7th! :D
