I believe you're on to something. Boren is a POS politician, he'd do or say whatever is expedient. I don't know much about Stoops, but I'd suspect the same thing.

Absolutely, I never liked him when he was involved in state politics.

Stoops, I don't know much about either, but c'mon it's easy to see that his concern is showing the rest of the nation (primarily prospective football players) that we aren't racist down here in Norman, OK. How many other staffers organized a silent protest or participated? So why did he?

Expelled for legal speech...kept on football team for violent crime...you decide

Perhaps Boren should have suspended them from their frat for 1 year and made them do community service?

And this article minimizes the hostility towards women. You can post any slanted article you want. It doesn't change the fact that there is a double standard as to what is acceptable hostility and what is not acceptable. To say that every time something comes up makes Mixon's punishment a life sentence is a tad absurd.
Elm
Defending the brand is another BS cop out. And if anything shows that the dismissal of violence towards women extends far from between Elm/Jenkins Lindsey/Boyd.

So, find me an article that shows the Irony in comparing it to Frank Shannon.

For every article that dismisses the double standard, I imagine there is one that does.
