I'm definitely going to go there once they're officially open. That could be my new Happy Hour Friday spot. Forget going for a beer after work. I'm going shootin' !

OK...once in a while I'll still have to hit up Royal Bavaria and their outdoor beer garden and their homebrew, and brats and...drool...just not on the same day as shooting.

Why'd you have to go and bring that up? Now I'm going to have to stop in there after work some day for a nice glass of their veissen. On an unrelated note, it looks like there might be some reprieve from the ammo shortage as wal-mart and Academy are starting to slowly replenish their stock.

muahaha....I'm just evil like that. ;)

Sure is a nice way to end a long week at work. Sitting outdoors enjoying a nice big tankard of homemade German bier with some tasty sausages and mustard.

I just wish they'd open before 5:30p

mmmmmmmm yummy

(sorry for the off-topic thread hijack....but now I'm hungry :D )

I took Sgt Everett's CCW class today and we toured the pistol range which should be operational by the end of the week "fingers crossed". I loved the fresh lumber smell; it was amazing how much wood was used! I guess that explains why Lowes's is completely out of lumber now. j/k.
We're going to take the "gun handling" part later this week to complete the class and get our certificate.
It'll be nice to try out the range. $5 for a lane is not bad at all and beats the 30 minute drive out to Lexington. I'll still make the drive to shoot the AR's tho! :rubhands:

Were there any other OSA'ers at the class?

I've lived in Norman since 1985 (except for four years when I was in Stillwater *shudder*) and I've NEVER been there. Always wanted to... never have.

They're pretty good. I like their beer and brats. For dinner, though, my favorite is still Old Germany near Choctaw.

I'll probably check out the range around the 1st week of July when my coworker gets back from leave. He wants to go to.

Sure will be nice to have a place close to work to go shooting in the evenings.

Very recently acquired a membership at Oil Capital. Drove out yesterday morning and looked around. Appears to be a nice facility with may options. Understand they host various events. My skills aren't there to participate in them but would enjoy being a spectator.
