Being a student and all I still manage to leave a couple/few dollars on my Red Robin tab whenever i go. My gf however is a snobby lil' b!tch who doesn't tip at all. What gets my goat is she is only a few months removed from working in the restaurant business and those very tips made her day.

Last week when we ate at Red Robin I overheard this old bag of a lady give special instructions that went a bit like this "When you cook my fries Do NOT put them in the same oil as the onion rings and if you put my bun on the grill top you need to sanitize the grill first." and then said "Here" as she gave her menu back by pressing it into the waitresses chest. I assume she thought they warm the bun up on the same location as the meat idk if it gets warmed/toasted at all

Her attitude was disgusting nevertheless ...

You'd be amazed at some of the strange orders I've recieved there. It sounds like the lady had a gluten allergen or maybe was just obsessive over her food. If you come to Red Robin when I work, I'll buy you a burger (I'm one of 3 guys who wear a black shirt so that'll narrow it down, just say you're on OSA).

The question i have is how does one tip their server if? hostess takes you to table, another person takes your order, another perso brings your order, and occasionally another person refills your drinks? This has happened to me several times.

Does is it matter if you got good service? Usually, co-workers are nice enough to help you out when you are dealing with people as described above. It all works out. Some restaurants have the servers pool their tips and thus the share all the responsibilities aswell.

I may be a bit weird in this regard but I NEVER tip with my card due to some paranoia that The Man keeps it and the little guy will never see a penny of it. Also I never leave it on the table either, I put it in their hands to insure that the person who earned it gets it.

Oh and also the last time I left a tip on the table I happened to see some random waiter swipe it up as I went back to get my jacket, I didn't say anything but never again...
