Can you go outside the VA for assistance? There are several programs out there. If you have insurance thru your job, or lots of companies have built in help for this. Just another option.

Lots of good advice here for you, my friend. Remember, as long as this forum is up, there are people here for you. Don't let them down, they depend on you. And exercise, vigorous physical exercise is great for depression.

Brother, you are not alone!!! I too suffer with the same thing. I know its tough, and its always day by day. Stay on your meds, get back to the VA, and get into one on one, or group. If thats not up your alley, give me a PM, an we'll chat.

I know how you feel about being the rock, asking for help doesn't make you week, just shows your human, and you can still be that rock! I am the rock for my family.

Hey gunnut come hang out with me. I need a friend, I been here two years now for the second time and have no friends. We could all use friends. I know I can talk to members on okshooters but the transition from online to offline may be hard. So come on down lets hang out, I have kiddos so i am sure them being kids will keep you entertained. We can BBQ or go to SGT Everettes, etc. PM me if interested.

HK, Thats funny!! All you have to do is ask!!

I like several others have posted have never served in the military. But I do know the grip of depression. When I was 2 years old I was burned over 30% of my body by a grease fire. My head, chest and back is where it got me. When most children were playing I trying to hide. I went from oh what a cute boy to oh my God look at him. It took me 23 years to build up self esteem. And the majority of those 23 years was spent crying and in deep depression. It took God and a few others He had placed in my life to climb out of my 6 foot hole. I can tell you from experience there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

The group has met up on a couple of occasions and I'd sure like to see it happen again. A few years back there was a grill and shoot. Unfortunately I wasn't able to make it.
