I used to live in Wisconsin, I'm really surprised at the news of Bielema leaving for Arkansas. Even Wisconsin newspaper has confirmed it.....

Bielema is arrogant. Many in Wisconsin don't like him and won't be sorry to see him go.

I hope not. I hope he's valued enough by those in power to do whatever's necessary to keep him. I'm an OU alumnus and fan, but the only time I root against OSU is during bedlam.

On the flip side of that coin, I hope he doesn't overvalue himself enough to not know a good thing when he has it.

But if I were Gundy - I wouldn't be going anywhere. Barring a string of catastrophic seasons, he's got tenure here.

Exactly. If Tenn thinks he's some magic bullet but doesn't back him with the resources to build a quality program, you can bet they'll scapegoat him in a heartbeat. That won't happen here.

I don't see Gundy leaving...contract extension, new house, he has ties here....now rumor was Todd Monken may get an offer or 2 soon and I would expect that. But I don't see Gundy pulling a Les Miles and leaving OSU.

and based on earlier post in this thread he isn't in top 10 top paid - he is #11 for this year which over the next 7 will increase....his buyout is allegedly 3 million

He would realistically need to be paid top 5 IMO to be worth leaving.

I am NOT an OSU fan, but i respect Gundy for his coaching abilitys. He is in a good spot and he better think long hard about moving, especially because he thinks its a more prestigeous job. What counts is how good your record is where you're at.
