Oh I get it alright. It's called free choice and personal responsibility. Do I like that my oldest child prefers to be homeless?? No. But he's 40 years old. He is doing what he wants. Good on him.

You can’t be legally kicked out for asking for a repair. That’s not accurate or the whole story. Since your lease has expired he can ask you to leave with enough notice from what I understand. If you paid late, for any reason, according to the lease that’s enough.

You may have rubbed him the wrong way enough times that he sees things a little differently than you do and would prefer you were gone. This is why you should buy your own place!!

First: many, many people should never own a home. No one ever taught them to take care of anything. It will quickly deteriorate and fall apart.
Next: Did anybody see the tv show, I think on PBS that supposedly no one will privately own their own home by 2050?
All housing will be by Gov't or mega corporations. Don't remember which.
