a good number of doctors are crooked pill dispensers at worse; or lazy pill dispensers at least.
One of my past PCPs was a huge pill pusher, I never left his office with less than 4 prescriptions it seemed. I never filled most of them though. One day I got a letter from his office saying he would no longer be able to serve my needs as he was leaving to attend a special drug rehab center for Doctors and would not be practicing medicine afterwards. Kind of surprised me for a second and then it all made sense.

if you push for strict drug control you might as well go to the White House and hand over all your guns to Barack. Why do you need them (GOV) to hold your hand on one thing but get all ****** when they put in in another? The VERY SIMPLE fact is that if the guy next door wants to be a drug addict, he will be, no matter what bull **** laws you try and enforce. also i completely believe that if the drugs were legal it would be a huge tax base to stimulate our economy, as well as reducing the amount of dependents. if its no longer taboo then a lot of people will not do it.... kinda like when you were 17-20 and were all about drinking a case of beer on the weekend but when you turn 21 your kinda like EH, its not a big deal. also, you want to cut crime in HALF, legalize hard drugs. Marquise R. Wellfare wouldn't kill rob and rape if he could get his morning crack at quick trip on the way to his job at the commercial green house your favorite hydro-bud is grown in.

It's ok Ridge, he only wants to tax Marquise R. Welfare. Marquise must be a 1%er. Marquise is practically Herman Cain I'm sure.

I strongly disagree with that notion and I'm thoroughly convinced 'street' drugs generate far more revenue for the government in their current state of prohibition then they ever would if legalized/taxed.

i have not read this entire thread so i might be saying something twice but if you look at what the government does it is all about "population control". alcohol and tobbaco kills people everyday but weed doesn't...i've never heard of one person dieing from smoking to much weed and i doubt its possible to smoke that much without running out of money. jmo

Agree to the fullest. But it still doesn't change my thought that a good number of doctors are crooked pill dispensers at worse; or lazy pill dispensers at least.

What's the average time most physicians spend with a patient these days? Last I heard it was around 7.5 minutes. A pill seems to be the quick fix for both doctors and patients in some cases.

Drug shortages seem to be a problem, too. Either the cheap drugs aren't being made because big pharma can't make enough money selling them or the government is restricting the amounts of certain chemicals used to make the drugs. We can't win.
