I don't understand. People still use checks? What possible reason is there to use a check other than trying to buy something you cannot afford. Almost everyone takes debit cards, and there are ATMs on almost every street corner. I just can't think of any reason to ever need a check.

A lot of business won't take anything but credit cards, or cash. They get tired of being burned.

Actually some are getting away from credit cards as they are not wanting to pay the 2%.

You can get burned from credit card purchases pretty easy too, its not nearly as popular as checks though. Credit card companies sway to the side of their customers before they do the vendors.
