Tooth ache

I've never had a tooth ache in my entire life, until yesterday. Good golly miss Molly does it hurt. I started taking ibuprofen yesterday, but it has barely touched the pain. Does anyone have a home remedy for the pain?

I think my mom used Orajel, but I guess there are risks with using benzocaine for toothaches. You can read what the Mayo Clinic has to say about it here:

The weekend on call doc can call in antibiotics or/& give treatment options until patient is seen

Yea, don’t use the whole tube of oragel. Methemoglobinemia is rare but I’d have some methylene blue ready in case ….
