4473's are retained by the FFL. When he/she gives up the license the 4473's are shipped to the ATF to go into a massive mountain of paper storage. The FFL does not give any weapon serial numbers to the examiner when they call in your background check.

The bound book does not contain your information in the disposition column there is no database of firearm serial numbers owned by you.

With a warrant an FFL's bound book can be searched for serial numbers and their 4473's reviewed.

There is no such thing as firearms registration in Oklahoma unless you have NFA stuff which is registered with the feds.

I've met people on OSA, armslist, and local advertising at gas stations, wal mart parking lots, h&h, mcdonalds, to name a few.
Never been worried or nervous about any transaction I've had. Do I carry? Of course I do but I'm
Not gonna write down tag numbers and everyone I've dealt with was obviously of age to be doing
Said business. Always begins and ends with a
handshake and a smile but then I'm a redneck and that's how we operate.

Now the caveat may be that once the ffl's 4473's are received by the ATF they may be scanned into eTrace and then the record of original sale and the firearms are associated with you then, that would be why they require you to print on the 4473 because OCR doesn't do handwriting. And if an FFL's bound books and 4473's are searched now days they likely just photograph them and OCR them to load them in a database for search ability.

My transactions usually go something like this...
Money is dropped off at a secrete random location, usually in unmarked envelopes taped under park benches and such. At that location there will be a cell phone for them to take. They are to use that cell to call the only number stored in it saying the money is dropped. After money is picked up a call will be made to that cell telling where the merchandise is stashed and can be picked up, usually same type of location as money drop. After transaction is done all cells are to be destroyed.

I think I bought a gun from you. You wouln't recognize me, I was wearing a disguise.......
