It's hard for us to find a sitter so we can shoot together. We play cards a lot. We should get together sometime, might be fun. Baby won't sit still long enough to take her to a movie with us.

I don't know how far it is to do this from OKC, but if it's not terrible, find somewhere to go fishing. I'm not talking the expensive kind of fishing either.

I'm talking a few $5 yard sale poles with the cheapest 6 pound test you can get, a few bobbers, 1/2 inch long hooks, and worms, and just sit on a bank somewhere perch fishing. Catch and release, or keep them if you want to clean them.

My wife absolutely loves just to sit and bobber fish for perch. I do have to take them off the hook, but at least she baits for herself!!

It's a darn good thing to get kids into as well. I have pictures of me fishing when I was barely 2 years old and can't remember doing it, and depending on who you ask, I turned out okay !

If you like Alaska, I'm guessing you're both pretty "outdoorsy". I suggest one of these http://www.rei.com/product/793998 if your kid is the right age... our toddler rides happily for 2-3 hrs, sometimes longer. And hiking with this thing gets you in shape QUICK. There are tons of good places to hike within 1-2 day trips of OKC.

For in town, I suggest starting by seeing every single museum in the metro area. It's often pretty surprising what's in your own back yard.

Yes to the fishing. Sometimes we go to Draper and walk around the old (and much more better) dirt bike trails. Michele is obsessed with anything dead, any scat she finds, and fossils. I just like to get outside. Lately, the 7 year old and I have been looking for river access spots. Not for fishing. Just throwing rocks and stuff.

Also, screwing for a long time is kinda fun too. Better for the indoors, most of the time. Stupid laws.

and fyi work has a program for babysitting at a facility or in home and it is cheap but I have never used it. I can find out the info if you need or want though.
