If I had only one hand gun, it would be a Government Model 1911 in .45 ACP.
It's the most comfortable gun I've ever shot, and for me its the most accurate. Yeah, I can shoot faster with mouse fart loads in .40, but with full power loads, the 1911 in my hands excels and that is what counts.

For me it would have to be either a Beretta 92fs or my S&W 28-2 made in the 1960s.
