And just for fun, from the state website:

and;
https://coronavirus.health.ok.gov/what-you-should-know

I couldn't find that Oklahoma is recommending masks for the general public, must just be the CDC.
Yes, CDC recommendation and some stores are now requesting shoppers wear a face mask. Don't know about gloves. If the virus gets worse most stores will the state will require it. At some point the state will realize they can get a revenue fund going by fining people for non-compliance.

When mask wearing is required/highly encouraged in indoor and/or crowded situations the transmission of the disease slows greatly. That is the main take-away from the graph. It seems like a very reasonable conclusion. The text of the article says that...
...if 80 percent of people wear masks that are 60 percent effective, easily achievable with cloth, we can get to an effective R0 of less than one. That’s enough to halt the spread of the disease.
Both Hong Kong and Taiwan have nearly 100% voluntary compliance and the disease is well contained there. Masks worn by the public are preventing sick/asymptomatic spreaders from infecting others. I cannot think of an argument against this. Different model assumptions should only shift the curves in the graph, not change the basic shape of the curve.

Doctor's office waiting rooms
Crowded stores
Movies
Subways, trains, airplanes
Jails*
Crowded immigrant apartments*
Those places would be much safer if everyone is wearing a mask. The "check your temperature at the door" is going to miss the many asymptomatic carriers. *Not sure what to do about the last two on the list.

I seldom leave my neighborhood but when I do, I see 50% or more of people not wearing masks in stores. Not being able to understand this, I'd guess they either do not believe the virus is a serious problem or that masks work. Interesting times.
