I am not into Oklahoma Government workings as much as I should be. Is this bill something that is being considered to be put on a ballot for a vote by the people or a true legislature change to the current law and is a done deal when the Governor signs it and the effective date rolls around? Like others, I am not going to strap a 44 on the leg, but it will remove the fear factor of reaching for something from the top shelf.

It is not set up to be voted on by the people and we dont want it to be. The people dont need/shouldnt have to vote to gain back the rights that were removed.
And whats really disturbing about that is a lot would vote no.
It will go to the Gov. to sign if it makes it out of the house.

It will go to the Gov. to sigh if I makes it out of the house.

Oh it will make it out of the house and be sent to the Governor...

... about 10 minutes before the end of the legislative session giving her the loophole she needs to tell us she just didn't have time to review and evaluate all the possible ramifications.

Haven't you guys figured it out YET? Our masters only play at treating us as if we were responsible, law-abiding citizens.

They are deathly afraid of us being openly armed - why else would they not allow us the same rights that responsible law abiding citizens get in 43(?) other states?

Current session ends May 25th, hopefully we don't have to wait that long.

Everyone, this is now in the hands of Sue Tibbs. That old biddy has done more to kill pro-gun legislation than Brad Henry or anyone else in this state in recent times. There is also a suppressor bill (SB-1743) that she alone will have the power to kill dead as a hammer in the House. She will FUDD up on these bills and ruin all the hard work that has gone into them. If you want better gun laws in OK, you need to flood her office with calls, letters and emails. Do it for the children!!! :D
