Sanjuro,

Have you tried prayer for your own peace of mind and for the strength to bear your cross - which this type treatment may be to you? Now, if you need to justly right a wrong - correct false information, etc. then do so for being a Christian doesn't require you to alow lies to be spread about you.
But if the only motivation left is to "get them" for insulting or slighting you in the past, then I would suggest you seek the strength to move on. Admittedly, this takes an act of faith and faith is a product of will and intellect not "feeling" - i.e. you don't have to like it but, if you can, for the right reasons, will yourself to do the right thing then that is a great act of faith.
I've spent a LOT of time in prayer over it for guidance on whether Anything needs to be done about the situation or whether I should just move on or even other options I haven't come across yet.

This is not the way of the Christians. Jesus taughts many good things to the peoples. Importantly about to love the neighbor as yourself. Please do not have the heavy heart and please pray that Allah (God) will give to you peace and happiness. I pray for you.

One of my favorite hobbies.

Since we are sharing, what kind of revenge are you contemplating?
One owes my wife several thousand dollars so since they embarrassed me in front of my family, I'm tempted to call in that debt the next time we get together. The other probably wouldn't be vengeance so much as just an ass kicking and never speaking to them again.

Vengeance or revenge is way different than standing up for yourself. Common misonomer is that Christiananity=weakness. Not true. Totally within the principles of Christianity to stand up for what's right.

Take all legal steps to get your money. When he whines about it (and those kind always do), just smile.

That's the deal. I couldn't stand up for myself without getting just as nasty or even physical at the time. I told them you're going too far, said it several times, even got a bit loud and assertive but some people don't get it unless your face is an inch from theres with your hand on their throat when you say it.
