Let the people closest to him/her(like a mother etc) know the money issue and ask for them to help pressure him/her. As for the other I dont have enough info but dont hurt anyone innocent, it's not worth it.

That's the deal. I couldn't stand up for myself without getting just as nasty or even physical at the time. I told them you're going too far, said it several times, even got a bit loud and assertive but some people don't get it unless your face is an inch from theres with your hand on their throat when you say it.

your too nice, you need to work on your man voice and serious face. Lol.

There is no easy answer. You don't necessarily have to live with them, but you cannot avoid living with yourself. Also keep in mind any action you choose to take will probably have unforeseen consequences. And if you have to do it don't think just get it done. In the end you must make the decision.

But I looked at this thread thinking we were talking about getting even with the lions.

Dont hide behind being a Christian, even Jesus got pissed and flipped a few tables.

I dont pull punches with my family or very close friends. Like GlocktoGo said, i dont forgive and i dont forget. Besides if they dont know who they're messin with, you've been tolerant too long.[/QUOTE

I came from a family that didn't have guns. My
grandpa inherited some guns, and when I turned 16 He gave them to me, unfired by him.
Parents, and sister understood my obsession, and they got to eat my success.
I had aunts and uncles, that didn't like guns or the folks associated with them, and for what ever reason they engaged me at family re-unions, etc.

Typically, I was wearing some sort of camo, (we are talking the 70's here, and anti-war Vietnam protest were in the news ) and that was the trigger to go nuts on their part.

Had to turn down a pretty good chunk of money from a relative to defect to Canada, after my draft number came up.

She never forgave me for entering the war.
I volunteered to be a pall bearer at her funeral. (family couldn't believe I would do that, after the flap)
I just wanted to make sure that biatch was in the ground, and I had a hand in it.......

Like said above, your faith shouldn't mean weakness. If you can afford to let the debt owed to you go uncollected, then do so. If it's become a burden to you and your family because of the absence of that money, then take the legal steps to get it back. Every "negative/unwanted" situation in life can make you better, or bitter. If you end up bitter, that will continue to effect you and your family and usually only sets the trend for further troubles. Just my take on things based on watching how other people react to situations in life over the years. Hope it works out for you.
