We do not need NO gun laws,...just stronger sentencing in the criminal laws to deter people from making bad choices on the crime they commit.

I don't think that's illegal. I don't think it was ever illegal under state law (unless you wanted to make the argument that it was a "dirk knife," which was removed from the statutes), and the Legislature passed state non-preemption on knives a few years ago, which essentially nullified all city ordinances on the subject.

Other than a few OC's at H&H on Black Friday, I haven't seen a single person open carry in at least a couple of months.

OC isnt new. lol. And I never thought CC would spawn any new carriers.

Had a buddy keep a .45 Springfield in one of the steering wheel holsters for years with out a carry license. Got stopped a couple of times and even though the pistol was seen and commented on, he was never asked for his CC license during either traffic stop.
Now he is crowing that we were all dumb for spending the money and time to get the license when you never needed one in the first place.
Just told him he was the exception and was extremely lucky.

Reminds me of the trooper that stopped the rancher for a tail light and saw the rancher had a large cache of weapons. He had a 45, a 357 a shotgun and a 30-30 Winchester rifle. Noting this, the trooper asked the old rancher what he was afraid of. The rancher replied, "Nothin."
