I guess all the nervous nellies should use pawnshops so they get their paperwork fix.

I'm a G.U.R.L. and I've met ya'll in parking lots from H&H to Braums in Chickasha, and Mustang Pawn to Atwoods in Norman. The only place I ever felt uncomfortable was the Love's at Hwy 9 and I-35. A lot of loiterers there and probably a lot of undercovers from an alphabet soup of agencies. My business was legit, but I don't like so much attention.

If you needed back-up to meet me, you may need therapy. But I do keep your contact info and I have complete records on every weapon I've ever owned for my own security. Oddly, none of you ever asked for a bill of sale although I always brought my trusty receipt book.

FTF with OSA'ers is one of the things I miss most about not living in OK.

Quick Trip, visit a little, exchange money, shake hands and done.

That's crazy talk, you should be fingerprinting and get a DNA swab, just to be safe.

Hell, i sold a truck a couple weeks ago and didnt care to check to see if the guy had a drivers licence or insurance. He did have cash and now he has a truck.

But Glen to be fair, you don't play well with others!!!! LOl. Just kidding buddy.......

I'm getting crusty in my old age. I just don't believe in giving in to paranoia, or doing things that are not required by law. I'm still waiting for someone to provide citation of a case where someone was found guilty of a crime that they didn't commit, with a gun that they sold to someone else, from the last dozen times this issue has been raised

Just because your not found guilty doesn't mean you might not have to go through a bunch of bs to clear yourself. To me a BOS is simply stating that I'm selling something to another person and we have an agreement on a piece of paper. Not a big deal really. If both people are honest law abiding citizens then it shouldn't create a big fuss.

I've yet to sell anything bought I've bought a few times, leaving in a few minutes to do just that. I don't worry so much if it's an OSA member or other forum I frequent. Being a former LEO has given me a pretty good sense of when things are sketchy and need extra attention. I almost always bring "back up" though just in case.

I know it's not a big deal, that's why I'm not going to do it.
