Ok. So to sum up, sb1733 currently contains the original language of hb2522 and is to be sent back to the senate, where they will probably videotape themselves burning a copy of it while sneering at and mooning the camera and then they will send that video to the house.

Hb2522 is currently in the house and contains the least important bits of the original language and only allows open carry on private property. If the house re-instates the original language and then sends it back to the senate, the senate will then probably print out the whole thing and draw dicks all over it while laughing like little children.

The powers that be in the Senate have told OK2A they will accept the amendments to SB1733.

The house rejected the amendments to HB2522 and requested conference committee. If SB1733 is signed then HB2522 will die in conference.

However if SB1733 goes to the governor and is rejected, then the conference committee could fix any problems with HB2522 and get it back on her desk.

If this turns out to be the case, I imagine this whole charade was to make sure the bill that passes had an "s" in front of the "b" and This whole thing is because the senate got butthurt over last years bill.

As much as I'm hoping open carry passes, I'm a hell of a lot more concerned about fixing this original part of the SDA in bold than about accidentally showing my concealed weapon;

I know they don't enforce it that way, but I'd prefer not to be living freely only by the graces of a public servants interpretation.

I know that's the problem. In all this stupid bickering it would have been easy for someone to reword that paragraph so that it didn't make carrying almost literally any object ever illegal. But no, they were busy with attempting to charge fetuses with manslaughter.
