Long range shooting / F-Class

Anyone in the Muskogee area do any long range shooting?

I'd like to learn, but I have zero experience, and don't know anyone personally and locally that does.

I have a friend that's started F/TR, and has tried talking me into it. I just want to get some LR trigger time, and possibly attend / try some F-class matches before sinking money into it.

If you consider Tulsa in the Muskogee area, then the Red Castle match is a good one to at least observe and they will have enough shooters to squad you opposite so you can both fire the same rifle. Plenty of people to help also and I might come out just for fun even if I don't shoot.

I'd be up for some long range practice once I free up some time.
I can't even get behind a trigger myself here lately.

I'm a highpower guy so it'd be an aperature sight .308 match rifle built on a model 70 action. It's seen it's share of 600 and 1000 yards.

You wouldn't get to practice anything telescopic with it, but maybe we can find another person with something more like current scoped F class shooters would use.

I'd be down for some practice if someone had the space (my old shooting area now has people living in an area that makes it too dangerous to shoot) - its been too long since I got behind either of my bolt-guns.
