S&W 41 made for knocking out the "X" ring.
Second choice is a Ruger MKI "government" 6inch Bull Barrel made in the '70"s with volquartsen grips and a Bushnell HOLO sight.

I have a Mark III Hunter with a Majestic Arms quick strip kit, Majestic three lb trigger, Majestic slide racker assist, Volquartsen muzzle brake, and a Bushnell Trophy red dot that I use in steel Challenge matches. Wherever the dot is, a bullet hole will appear.

I've recently changed my pistol by changing to a Burris Fast Fire III.
Totally different sight picture is going to take some getting used to.
Shot it for the first time last Saturday at a match. The first couple of stages was ugly, lol.
