One of the reasons they hate us because we have military bases in what they consider to be Holy Land on the Arabian peninsula. Look at the outrage here with the thought of a Mosque at the WTC site. Any difference? Islamophobia is growing. It's gonna come back and bite us in the butt someday. Religious wars never end good.

They hate us because Isreal is our ally, nothing more nothing less. A mosque is built everywhere there is a muslim victory, not islamaphobia this is a fact and I think that people in NYC need to grow a backbone and fight the building of the mosque or demolish it every step of the way during the construction process. War on terror has nothing to do with religion, has do do with control of people through pseudo religious propaganda by our enemies.

Lots and LOTS of things I agree with RP on, but this ain't one of them.

I keep on trying to like RP because he's so spot on with some issues but then he utters something totally bizarre like he's against a fence on the border because
"it might be used to keep us in". WTF?

Ron Paul is best viewed as a challenge to republican orthodoxy in the same way that Eugene McCarthy challenged LBJ and the democratic oligarchy of that period.
Both were never going to be elected or lead, but both were a canary in the coal mine warning of danger.

The people who cheered the idea that we should let the uninsured die are complete morons. Ron Paul brought to light the fact that fundraisers and the churches have helped many people deal with their medical debt. If everyone put a $5 bill in the jar on the counter of the quickstop requesting help for medical bills and people started caring about one another, rather than competing with one another, then this country would be better as a whole.

This.

I couldn't tell you how often I've heard about some *very* *large* *medical* *bills* suddenly becoming anonymously paid. Whether people like it or not, karma works. Be good to others, and one day someone you may or may not know might come along and help in your time of need.

No, Isreal is our pestering, begging little ***** that won't leave us the hell alone.

We need to let Israel be Israel and stop fanning the flames over there.

I also think it's insane people believe America plays no role in how we're viewed around the world and that us pissing people off due to our foreign policy is is a complete impossibility and that this does also not play a role in what happened on 911.

LOL @ the idea that "they hate us for our freedom." That's biggest line of ******** I've ever heard. To think people believe it who can also vote is depressing.

People bought it. I can imagine a Jihadist thinking, "the Americans are free, therefore I will commit suicide to kill some". Ridiculous but people shut their minds off and refused to see it as a cause and effect issue. It is easier that way.
In the mean time we are wasting blood and money on perpetual wars that solve nothing, while the economy and our way of life keeps worsening every day.
Ten years from now we will be still fighting the neocon wars, Iran is next, Syria, Pakistan, it will never end till we completely collapse.
People tend to gather around the flag in times of trouble and the politicians know it.

I’d agree that we need to just let Israel do their thing, and stay the hell out of their way – and their conflicts. Let’s take care of ourselves, and let Israel do whatever they feel they need to do. Without us, our money, and our blood.

:werd:

But you're going to anger the Christians who believe it's our God-ordained-duty (despite the trials and tribulations it brings upon us) to support Israel in all matters.

I can imagine some jihadist wanting to suicide bomb us because of our “freedom”, then sneaking in here (walking casually across our southern border). After he paid the sales tax, title fees, and registration on the vehicle, the liability insurance to get a tag, paid the sales tax on the bomb materials, the hazmat fees on the gunpowder, and the taxes and usage fees on his cell phone, and dropped $1.50 in quarters in the parking meter, I could see him saying “damn! I guess I’ll have to bomb them for their religion or their ties to Israel....it certainly can’t be their freedom!”
