My new car in OK was not appreciably different than same in TX, so bought in state, where car naturally was obtained from TX dealer who had one on lot. Dealers swap cars all the time across the state line. Yes, I dickered, "This is what I will pay, and if a dime added, you can eat the car for all I care," knowing true invoice ranges (those vary by dealer and state, and they DO need to turn a profit), and I ended up with new for same as most dealers price used.
