I'm getting old... But I refuse to act like it

Next Wednesday I will officially be a half century old. When I was a kid, the idea of being 50 seemed like I'd be SUPER old. For some reason I do not feel all that old (most of the time). So, in an effort to at least somewhat not feel like an old ass, I finally got to mark off an item from my bucket list.

I've ALWAYS wanted to go skydiving but I've either been too broke or too fat or both. Well, I had some fun money left over from my side job after buying my Warthog suppressor and decided to jump out of a "perfectly good airplane" as an early birthday present.

I have to say that was one of the strangest, weirdest and downright coolest things that I have ever done before. I may have to make it an annual thing for my birthday.

Good for you. I remember my first jump in 1992. Nothing like what I imagined. It's an experience you'll never forget.

I have a fear of heights so no way. I hated the crap my father used to make me do when I was younger, like chain to ladders together to make them taller. Bow if I have something solid under my feet I am good, but shakey or jumping from a plane. It ain't happening again if I can help it.

I’m five years younger, but have less than zero desire to jump out of an airplane. But good on you.
