I used to save the ham for Christmas dinner, but my wife is allergic to all pork products, so we're ham-free (unless we get a turkey ham, so see, it's right back to turkey!)
Grandmother made a pumpkin-custard pie for Thanksgiving that was unbelievable. That was years ago before she passed away.
My wife makes a sweet potato casserole that is very fine. Taste like a wonderful pumpkin pie with sugar glazed roasted pecans on top.
Those are my two favs.
